PMC carrier card enables use of several I/O mezzanine modules

Acromag Inc. in Wixom, Mich., is offering the APC-PMC that enables use of a PMC mezzanine I/O module in a standard PCI computer system in applications such as data acquisition, process control, test and measurement, motion control, and network data communications. The carrier card acts as an adapter to route PCI bus signals to and from the PMC module through the PCI card slot edge connector. Each APC-PMC carrier holds a PMC module on a half-length PCI card. The board supports all Acromag PMC modules and those from other vendors. The APC-PMC carrier card supports a 32-bit, 66-MHz PCI interface. Modules with front or rear connections for I/O cable access can be used. The board accommodates 5- and 3.3-volt inputs. The PMC mezzanine’s modular format enables multiple functions and high-density I/O on one board to lower costs and save card slots. For more information contact Acromag online at www.acromag.com.
