JUNE 12, 2002, 11:00 EDT SAN DIEGO, Calif., -- Titan Systems Corporation has begun delivery of six Prophet Block I vehicles to the U.S. Army. "On June 12, 2001, Titan Systems Corporation was awarded a production contract to produce the Prophet Block I system," said Gene Ray, Titan's chairman and CEO. "Today, exactly one year later, we are delivering it precisely on time."
"In June 2002, the Army takes a significant step in its transformation to the Objective Force by fielding the first ground tactical signals intelligence sensor system in more than two decades," said Edward Bair, Program Executive Officer for Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and Sensors. "We are pleased that LTG Noonan can be a part of the introduction of the first phase of this successful project."
The Prophet System, developed and managed by the Program Executive Office for Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and Sensors, is a next generation Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) and Electronic Warfare (EW) system. It provides tactical commanders with the ability to intercept radio frequency signals, perform signal direction finding and develop actionable intelligence from intercepted voice and communications data. The Prophet Block I System includes an AN/PRD-13(V)2 signal intercept system mounted on an AM General High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV).
