Sierra Research Awarded $2.7M Contract by Boeing

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- Integrated Defense Technologies, Inc.'s subsidiary, Sierra Research, has received a $2.7 million contract for War Readiness Spares of their Station Keeping Equipment (SKE). Sierra's SKE system is a unique airborne electronic system that provides measurement and display of relative position and the interchange of information between multiple aircraft.

The enhanced SKE system for the C-17 introduced a new network capability, which provides enhanced communication for up to 100 compatibly equipped aircraft within a 100 nautical mile range. To date, SKE has been installed on 88 U.S. Air Force, Boeing manufactured, C-17 aircraft as well as several other Boeing C-17's.

Sierra Research, located in Buffalo, NY, has over 270 employees and is part of the Integrated Defense Technologies Electronic Combat Systems Group.
