JULY 12, 2002, 15:45EDT HUDSON, N.H.--Micronetics Wireless, Inc. announced that two new executives have joined it to strengthen and expand the Defense Electronics Group's sales and engineering organizations.
Ramunas Kalvaitis joins Micronetics as Director of Sales and Marketing in the Defense Electronics Group. Kalvaitis, from 1992 to 2002, was a senior sales executive (his final position being Vice President of Sales and Marketing) for SierraCom of Hopkinton, MA. Before that, he was Director of Sales and Marketing for MACOM from 1987 to 1992. He has Masters and Bachelor of Science Degrees in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University.
Lawrence P. Fletcher joins Micronetics as a Senior Engineer in the Defense Electronics Group. From 1993 until 2002, Fletcher was Vice President of Technology for SierraCom, responsible for research, development and advanced system development. SierraCom, previously known as Lucas Epsco, was a supplier of systems, subsystems and instrumentation for commercial VSAT, terrestrial telecommunications and military microwave markets. Prior to this, from 1985 to 1993, Fletcher was a principal engineer and Technical Director for the Space Center and Radar Subsystems Division of MACOM, primarily engaged in microwave subsystems and component design. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronics from Salford University, UK.
Micronetics, operating through its Defense Electronics, Test Solutions and VCO Products Groups, manufactures and designs test equipment and components that test the strength, durability and integrity of communication signals in communications equipment. Micronetics also manufactures microwave and radio frequency (RF) components and integrated subassemblies used in a variety of defense, aerospace and commercial applications.
Micronetics serves a diverse customer base, including Aerosat, Alcatel, BAE Systems, Boeing, EADS, Ericsson, L-3 Communications, Lockheed Martin, Motorola, NEC, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, Southwest Research, Teradyne, Tektronix and Thales.
