LOS ANGELES, December 17, 2002. Ducommun Incorporated announced that its Ducommun Technologies (DTI) business unit has been awarded an $8 million contract by Raytheon to produce 63V1 radar system enclosures for the F-15 aircraft purchased by South Korea. The 63V1 scope of work encompasses five different electromechanical enclosures and related electromechanical subsystems. The period of performance is 2003-2004, and the work will be performed at DTI's Phoenix facility also known as MechTronics of Arizona Corp.
Joseph C. Berenato, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Ducommun, stated, "We are very pleased at the award of this contract as it reaffirms our focus on our up the food chain strategy of providing more value added work on both existing and new programs."
Ducommun Technologies designs, engineers, manufactures and integrates complex mechanical and electromechanical systems, as well as a variety of subcomponents such as illuminated push button switches, high-reliability microwave and RF signal processing components, fractional horsepower motors and resolvers for the defense, electronics and commercial aviation industries.
