SAN DIEGO, April 28, 2004. The Titan Corporation announced today that it has been awarded a four-year (one base year, plus three option years), $34.9 million indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract to provide technical, engineering, and management services to the Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division, a field activity of the Naval Sea Systems Command headquartered at Indian Head, Maryland.
"Since 1991, Titan has proudly served as the technical support contactor to the Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division," said Gene Ray, Titan's president, chairman, and CEO. "We are committed and pleased that we will be continuing to provide engineering and technical services in support of the division and its unique programs."
The mission of Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division is to exploit technology and intelligence to develop, deliver, and provide life-cycle support for explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) information, procedures, tools, and equipment to meet the needs of Joint Service EOD operating forces and other customers worldwide.
Much of the required technical, engineering, and management expertise Titan will provide under the contract is highly specialized and unique to military organizations and the EOD community.
