JACKSONVILLE, Fla., May 10, 2004. Armor Holdings announced that it has received a $16.6 million contract award under its sole source contract with the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) to supply additional fully up-armored HMMWVs through 2004 and into 2005.
Under the contract, Armor Holdings will increase its vehicle production rates for the U.S. Army to achieve 350 units per-month as early as July 2004. The award also includes up-armored HMMWVs for the United States Air Force for delivery in early 2005.
The company noted that it expects this new business to represent approximately $13 million of revenue incremental to Armore Holdings' previous 2004 revenue guidance with the balance to be realized in 2005. All Up-Armored M1114 HMMWV production will continue to be performed at the Company's Fairfield, Ohio facility.
