Versar to provide protective suits for Olympic security forces

SPRINGFIELD, Va., June 16, 2004. VERSAR, Inc. announced today that a wholly-owned subsidiary, GEOMET Technologies, LLC, has been awarded a contract by the Greek government to supply A-level DTAPS (Disposable Toxicological Agent Protective System) chemical protective suits and associated equipment plus training to the Greek military forces as part of their preparation to respond to terrorist incidents at the 2004 Olympic Games which will be held this summer in Athens, Greece. The estimated value of this contract is approximately $350,000.

Over the past eight years, Versar has provided chemical protective suits and associated equipment to United States and Australian military services to strengthen their chemical and biological capabilities to respond to terrorist incidents at both Summer and Winter Olympic Games.
