Titan wins $26 million Air Force contract for advisory & assistance service

SAN DIEGO, Calif., Aug. 31. The Titan Corporation announced today that the USAF's Electronic Systems Center (ESC), headquartered at Hanscom AFB, Mass., has awarded the company an Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) task order to provide the full range of support services under ESC's Information Technology Services Program II (ITSP II).

The contract has a potential value with options, if exercised, of over $26 million through December 2006.

"Titan is pleased to support this new organization whose critical technologies and products will greatly enhance Department of Defense's command and control capabilities," said Gene Ray, Titan's president, chairman and CEO. "This latest award allows Titan to continue its support of providing innovative management processes to ESC."

This Program Office manages programs in various stages of procurement and is responsible for developing, procuring, deploying and sustaining all satellite communications (SATCOM) terminals for Air Force and strategic users; developing the critical Airborne and Maritime/Fixed Station Joint Tactical Radio System Program; and developing, deploying and sustaining products for the Global Broadcast System and the Theater Deployable Communications programs.

Titan will provide the full range of management and technical support services necessary to the success of the Program Office, to include: development planning, acquisition management, specialty engineering, integrated logistics support, configuration and data management, electronic data management, computer applications, financial management, operations, and security.
