MTC wins $13.5 million contract to repair C-130 aircraft

DAYTON, Ohio, Oct. 28, 2004. MTC Technologies, Inc. announced that the company has been awarded a task order under its subcontract with Lockheed Martin Integrated Systems, Inc. (LMIS) to perform unscheduled depot level maintenance (UDLM) on all models of C-130 aircraft.

MTC has teamed with Pemco Aeroplex in Birmingham, Ala. to satisfy Air Force customer requirements.

The major elements of work to be performed include center wing spar cap repairs, center wing rainbow fitting replacements, and repair of any other discrepancies discovered during performance of the specified work. MTC will provide management for UDLM work accomplished by Pemco. In addition, MTC will provide supply and logistics support to LMIS, Pemco, and three other LMIS subcontractors performing similar C-130 repairs.

The potential value of the LMIS prime contract is estimated at $45 million over a five-year period; the basic period plus four one-year options. Based upon Pemco's past performance for similar work under previous contracts and their large capacity repair facilities in Birmingham, MTC could receive as much as $13.5 million of the total contract value.

David Gutridge, MTC Chief Executive Officer, stated, "This is the first task order issued to MTC under our subcontract to Lockheed Martin. We are anxious to demonstrate that we have a strong team capable of reinforcing our established, outstanding reputation with the C-130 Program Office at Warner Robins Air Logistics Center."

MTC, through its wholly owned subsidiaries, provides systems engineering, information technology, intelligence, and program management services to the Federal Government. Cited by Business Week as the 11th fastest growing small company in the United States and named by Washington Technologies as #2 in revenue growth among the "Top 100" of IT Federal Prime Contractors, MTC employs nearly 2,000 people in more than 30 locations. The company was founded in 1984 and is headquartered in Dayton, Ohio. For more information, see www.mtctechnologies.com.
