Laser modules with AC power adapters

BEA Lasers in Elk Grove Village, Ill., is offering the 150P series laser modules with AC power adapters, which plug to an AC power supply to produce 6-volts DC for the laser. The 635- and 650-nanometer versions of the 150P come with outputs of 3, 5, and 7 milliwatts, which are suitable for applications in alignment, event/edge detection, leveling, metrology, position, robotic control, and security. The modules have automatic power control with soft-start protection, as well as a three-element glass-collimating lens with aR coating. Operating voltages range from 4.5- to 9-volts DC with 5 volts the recommended rate, with a temperature range of -10 to 40 degrees Celsius.
