Booster amplifier offered specifically for SINCGARS communications systems

AR Worldwide Modular RF in Bothell, Wash., is offering a version of the company’s KMW1030 booster amplifier specifically for the U.S. military’s Single-Channel Ground-and Airborne Radio System, otherwise known as SINCGARS. The model KMW1032HP is a dual-purpose, high-power version of basic SINCGARS-only model, which was introduced as part of a complete line of KMW1030 booster amplifiers for military tactical radios. The new, dual-purpose model can be used as a 20-watt manpack unit; it can also be vehicle-mounted using RF vehicle cable that boosts its output power to 40 watts. The unit is portable, lightweight, waterproof, and switches bands automatically. It covers the 30 to 108 MHz frequency band using filters to assure acceptable harmonic distortion levels. It includes voltage spike suppression, RF sensing, T/R switching, automatic level control, automatically switched harmonic filters, and protection against antenna mismatch and over-temperature. The unit can be operated from two BA5590 batteries or vehicle power. For more information contact AR Worldwide online at www.ar-worldwide.com.
