BAE Systems completes acquisition of National Sensor Systems

ROCKVILLE, Md., 17 October 2006. BAE Systems has completed its acquisition National Sensor Systems of Acton, Mass., following receipt of regulatory approval. With the $8.7 million cash transaction, BAE Systems adds advanced competencies in its remote sensing, photonics ,and laser communications technologies.

National Sensor Systems' engineers and scientists specialize in end-to-end design and manufacture of advanced systems and enabling technologies. The business will be integrated into the Advanced Technologies business area.
