The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command awards $118 million test/analysis contract to Digital Fusion

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., 31 May 2007. Digital Fusion Solutions has been awarded the integrated test and analysis contract (ITAC) by the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC).

Digital Fusion Solutions' team members include AEgis Technologies Group Incorporated, Analytical Services Incorporated, CAS Incorporated, deciBel Research Incorporated, Millennium Engineering and Integration Company, and Maximum Technology Corporation with Alion Science and Technology Corporation and CORD C3I as preferred vendors.

The directed subcontractors are Teledyne Brown Engineering Incorporated, the Boeing Company, Lockheed Martin Corporation, and the Raytheon Company. The total value of the contract, which has a five-year base period and one five-year option, is $118.7 million.

Under the ITAC contract, Digital Fusion will support the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/U.S. Army Forces Strategic Command (SMDC/ARSTRAT) by leading an integration contractor team to plan, organize, and coordinate operations, tests, and analyses with comprehensive, widely distributed experimental weapons systems.

The Digital Fusion Team will support various combinations of weapons system Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) laboratories, Software-in-the-Loop (SWIL), detailed modeling and simulation (M&S) products, weapon system operations databases, threat system representations, and other required assets for integrated test and analysis experiments.
