SAINT-LAURENT, Quebec, 30 July 2008. CMC Electronics in Saint-Laurent, Quebec, finished delivering its TacView portable mission display to the U.S. Air Force Special Operations Command (ASSOC) for AC-130 gunship aircraft.

TacView enables paperless cockpit operations like aircraft data and procedures manuals, interactive electronic charts and situational awareness, using the Air Force FalconView mission planning system.

TacView consists of a rugged display compatible with night vision imaging systems and power supply/interface module. TacView functions include tactical data link display, portable mission planning, digital moving map, weather imagery, electronic aeronautical charts and sensor imaging. TacView can display full-size instrument approach charts, checklists, and moving maps.

Its sunlight-readable 5-by-7-inch display has integrated sliding keyboard, film-on-glass touch sensitive screen, and bezel keys. The design of the TacView portable mission display is based on CMC's PilotView electronic flight bag.
