CoolIT Systems eyes liquid based thermal management for computer electronics cooling

CALGARY, Alberta, 29 March 2009. Thermal management specialist CoolIT Systems in Calgary, Alberta, is looking into new electronics cooling methods that involve computer liquid cooling as a way to handle electronic thermal management in desktop PCs.

Electronics liquid cooling technology for CPU thermal management has evolved from aerospace technology aimed at removing the heat from high-performance embedded computer technology in aerospace and military applications.

For this electronics thermal management technology, CoolIT secured venture capital funding of $6.2 million Canadian dollars, led by iNovia Capital that included existing angel investors and AVAC Ltd. CoolIT introduced its Domino advanced liquid cooling solution for desktop computers, and this financing was timed to support that project and to pursue other projects that involve the company's computer cooling technology.

"Electronics performance is now governed by thermal design more than any other factor," says Shawn Abbott, partner with iNovia Capital. CoolIT has been to design next generation cooling products. For more information contact CoolIT online at www.coolitsystems.com.
