Tactical information display released by Z Microsystems for digital video surveillance

Z Microsystems in San Diego is introducing the Ground Control Station (GCS) military display panel with real-time enhanced video (RTEV) for digital video surveillance. The military LCD panel uses a high-powered, field-programmable gate array (FPGA) to process image-enhancement algorithms in real time for live video surveillance feeds such as those applicable to unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV). An image enhancement algorithm brings out the detail from images degraded by poor visibility or atmospheric interference. The edge detection algorithm identifies anomalous shapes and highlights details for surveillance and bomb damage assessment (BDA).
