Raytheon Strategically Realigns Commercial Electronics Businesses LEXINGTON, Mass., December 20, 2002 Raytheon Company announced that it will eliminate its 20- person Raytheon Commercial Electronics (RCE) business headquarters located in Lexington, Mass., and reassign its commercial electronics businesses to its government and defense business units. This action will properly align the natural synergies of each individual commercial electronics business with the appropriate Raytheon Company government and defense business.
L-3 Storm to Provide Satellite Control Software LONDON, UK, December 18, 2002. Storm Control Systems Ltd (L-3 Storm), a wholly owned subsidiary of L-3 Communications, has been awarded a contract from Astrium of Europe to supply its InControl-NextGeneration satellite command and control software in support of Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP) activities within the company's Mission Control Centre (MCC).
Ducommun Announces $8M Radar Contract LOS ANGELES, December 17, 2002. Ducommun Incorporated announced that its Ducommun Technologies (DTI) business unit has been awarded an $8 million contract by Raytheon to produce 63V1 radar system enclosures for the F-15 aircraft purchased by South Korea. The 63V1 scope of work encompasses five different electromechanical enclosures and related electromechanical subsystems.

Harris Corporation has been awarded a two-year, $16 million contract by The Boeing Company to support the development and integration of the Launch Anomaly Disposal Operations (LADO) segment of the U.S. Air Force Global Positioning System (GPS) IIF satellite program.
TRW Wins High-Power Laser Contract Redondo Beach, CA, December 11, 2002. TRW has received a $21.3 million contract from the Air Force Research Laboratory to develop an electrically powered solid-state laser that puts out 25-kilowatts of laser beam power. The award is part of the Joint High-Power Solid-State Laser (JHPSSL) program that targets demonstration of the laser by the end of 2004.

Isonics Corporation announced that its subsidiary, IUT Detection Technologies, has acquired the exclusive, world-wide rights to detection technologies for explosives, chemical weapons, illegal drugs and other chemical compounds from the Institut fur Umwelttechnologien GmbH (IUT) of Berlin, Germany, of which Isonics is a minority shareholder.
