L-3 Communications to Provide Software for iPSTAR-1 Satellite
HERNDON, Va., September 19, 2002 - Storm Control Systems, Inc. (L-3 Storm), a wholly owned subsidiary of L-3 Communications, has been selected by Shin Satellite of Bangkok, Thailand, to supply the command and control software for the iPSTAR program.

Virgin Atlantic Selects Rockwell LCDs for 747-400 Fleet
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa, -- Rockwell Collins' display technology has been selected by Virgin Atlantic Airways for installation in its fleet of Boeing 747-400 aircraft. This is the first application of the new Active Matrix Liquid Crystal Displays for retrofit installation on this aircraft type and follows the company's recent introduction of the next-generation displays for Boeing's 747-400ER forward-fit aircraft.
IDT to Acquire BAE Systems Gaithersburg Operation for $146M
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- Integrated Defense Technologies, Inc., has reached a definitive agreement to acquire BAE SYSTEMS Advanced Systems Gaithersburg, Maryland operation for $146 million in cash. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of the fourth quarter of 2002, and will be accretive to earnings in 2003.
L-3 Communications To Acquire Northrop Units
NEW YORK -- L-3 Communications has entered into an agreement to acquire Northrop Grumman's Electron Devices and Displays-Navigation Systems - San Diego businesses. Financial terms were not disclosed. The acquisition, which is subject to customary closing conditions, is expected to close in November 2002.
Giga-tronics Delivers Subsystems for F16 Fighter
SAN RAMON, Calif. -- Giga-tronics Incorporated, announced that its MicroSource Subsidiary has completed delivery of Band Reject Filter Sub-Systems contracted to Lockheed Martin, Fort Worth, TX.
