Thermal Imaging Systems for Search and Rescue Aircraft PORTLAND, Ore.-- FLIR Systems, Inc. has been awarded a contract from Modern Technologies Corporation, in conjunction with the U.S. Air Force, Warner Robins Air Logistics Center HC-130 Program Office, valued at $3.5 million to supply its Star SAFIRE IITM airborne thermal imaging system for the Air National Guard's HC-130 search and rescue aircraft.

Microvision Signs VAR Agreement with Liberty Aerospace BOTHELL, Wash.,-- Microvision, Inc., has signed an agreement with Liberty Aerospace, Inc. of Montrose, Colorado to resell the Nomad Personal Flight System. Liberty Aerospace will offer the Nomad Personal Flight System as a wearable, see-through, sunlight-readable, head-up display (HUD) within their newly released XL-2, a two seat touring aircraft that has been specifically designed to meet the needs of the private owner/pilot.
EDO Receives $50 Million US Navy Contract NEW YORK -- EDO Corporation has received an IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity) contract for the production of Cluster Snoop Systems and spares from the U.S. Navy. Hamilton Sundstrand Wins $70M Contract from US Army WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) has contracted with Hamilton Sundstrand to supply Advanced Flight Control Computers for Black Hawk helicopters in an agreement with a total potential value of $70 million, according to Ralph Triompo, aftermarket manager for Hamilton Sundstrand Military Customer Support and Logistics.
L-3 Communications to Acquire Westwood NEW YORK -- L-3 Communications has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire all outstanding shares of common stock of Westwood Corporation, a maker of shipboard power control, switchgear and power distribution systems, for $2.30 per share in cash. The total value of the transaction is approximately $22 million, plus assumed debt.
