Markland Technologies has entered into an exclusive marketing and distribution agreement with Osprey Data Systems to expand and improve upon its current portfolio of illicit materials detection technologies. Spirent Shows New Cabin Displays At AEA WICHITA, KAN., April 21, 2003. Spirent Systems will showcase it's newest line of cabin displays, the AvVisor and AvVisor Plus, at this year's Aircraft Electronics Association (AEA) Convention, 24-26 April, in Orlando. The new displays feature latest technology, functionality, and will replace Spirent's legacy systems, Model's 2504, 2700 and 15000 cabin displays. In production for the past 25 years, these older systems will be retired later this summer.
Cessna's Citation CJ3 Takes Its First Flight WICHITA, Kan., April 18, 2003. Cessna Aircraft Company's newest light business jet, the Citation CJ3, has successfully completed its first flight. The CJ3 departed from McConnell Air Force Base April 17 at 9:20 a.m., and landed at Wichita's Mid-Continent Airport at 11:03 a.m. The airplane was piloted by Dan Morris and Russ Williams.

Orbital Ships OrbView-3 Satellite to Vandenberg DULLES, Va., April 15, 2003. Orbital Sciences Corporation has shipped the OrbView-3 high-resolution imaging satellite to its launch site at Vandenberg Air Force Base (VAFB), CA. Upon arriving at VAFB, the spacecraft will be mated and integrated with the company's Pegasus launch vehicle that will carry the OrbView-3 satellite into low-Earth orbit. Orbital built OrbView-3 for Orbital Imaging Corporation (ORBIMAGE) at the company's satellite manufacturing facility in Dulles, VA.
Increased Interest in Under Vehicle Inspection Systems YOUNGSVILLE, N.C., April 11, 2003. Law Enforcement Associates Corp., a surveillance and security technology company, announced that since the commencement of the war in Iraq it has experienced an increased interest in one of its key security and defense technologies, the Under Vehicle Inspection System (UVIS). BAE Systems Wins Rocket Laser-Guidance Contract NASHUA, N.H, April 10, 2003. General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products (ATP) has awarded BAE SYSTEMS a $26.7 million contract for the development and demonstration of the guidance section of the U.S. Army's Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) Block I program. The contract was finalized March 13 with BAE SYSTEMS Information & Electronic Warfare Systems (IEWS), headquartered in Nashua, NH.
Collision Avoidance System Uses Green Hills' RTOS SANTA BARBARA, Calif., April 8, 2003. Green Hills Software announced that the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has completed another successful DO-178B certification for INTEGRITY-178B real-time operating system (RTOS). Aviation Communication and Surveillance Systems (ACSS), an L-3 Communications and Thales Company, is using INTEGRITY-178B in their new Traffic and Terrain Collision Avoidance System (T²CAS) that recently received FAA certification
