Harris Awarded Contract For NPP Satellite On-Board Processors COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo, April 7, 2003. Harris Corporation has been awarded a contract by Ball Aerospace & Technologies Corporation, Boulder, Colorado, to provide Harris RH3000 data processing modules for the National Polar-orbiting Operational Environmental Satellite System (NPOESS) Preparatory Project (NPP). Under the contract, Harris will provide its family of RH3000 32-bit onboard microprocessor modules for the NPP satellite being manufactured by Ball Aerospace.

Pentek has introduced the first of a series of PCI modules, a 16-channel multi-band digital receiver that features two 14-bit 80 or 105 MHz A/Ds for direct wideband signal processing within an on-board Virtex-II FPGA (field programmable gate array). Pentek's GateFlow tool suite supports custom FPGA configurations for user-defined signal processing functions.

Indigo Systems Awarded JSF Contract for Infrared Sensors Goleta, Ca., March 25, 2003. Indigo Systems was awarded a major contract by Northrop Grumman Corporation, Electronic Systems to deliver infrared (IR) Integrated Detective Assemblies (IDAs) for the 21st century F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program. Spirent Systems to Install Cabin Surveillance for Continental WICHITA, Kan., March 24, 2003. Spirent Systems has signed an agreement with Continental Airlines to provision two B777-200 aircraft with a cabin surveillance solution for the purpose of conducting an in-flight evaluation. The system configuration includes several cameras, a video server, two flight deck-mounted displays and other networking components.
