Raytheon and Lockheed Martin to Pursue $161M Contract FALLS CHURCH, Va., February 14, 2003. -- Raytheon and Lockheed Martin will lead an industry team in pursuit of a U.S. Air Force program to upgrade an intelligence system called the Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS). The new program, known as DCGS Block 10.2 Multi-INT Core, is valued at about $161 million.

IDT Appoints Kick President of Signia-IDT HUNTSVILLE, Ala., February 11, 2003. Integrated Defense Technologies has appointed Charles A. Kick III as President of Signia-IDT, Inc. Signia-IDT is located in Gaithersburg, Maryland and has 300 employees. Kick is a 1974 graduate of the University of Virginia and joined Signia's predecessor (Watkins-Johnson) in 1978. He has served in increasing capacities at the Company, most recently as Vice President of Operations.
Savi Technology Awarded $90M Contract for RFID WASHINGTON, February 13, 2003. Savi Technology was awarded a three-year procurement contract by the U.S. Department of Defense valued at up to $90 million for Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) hardware, and related logistics software and services. The award enables personnel to procure directly through Savi a wide range of proven automatic identification and data collection technologies to track, monitor, locate, secure, process and deploy military supplies worldwide.
FLIR Systems Reports Increased Earnings for FY2002 PORTLAND, Ore. Fruary 10, 2003. FLIR Systems announced that net earnings for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2002 increased 24% to $12.7 million, or $0.71 per diluted share. This compares to net earnings for the fourth quarter of 2001 of $10.3 million, or $0.61 per diluted share. Revenue for the 2002 fourth quarter increased 15% to $74.9 million, up from $65.0 million for the fourth quarter of 2001.
BAA Deploys Authentication Systems at Seven UK Airports BEDFORD, N.H., February 7, 2003. Imaging Automation announced that UK-based BAA will deploy the company's iA-thenticate platform to authenticate identification documents as part of a comprehensive security screening process for current and potential employees. BAA will initially deploy this technology in its seven UK airports, including Heathrow, the world's busiest international airport.
Northrop Selects Green Hills' RTOS Santa Barbara, Calif., February 6, 2003. Green Hills Software announced that its INTEGRITY-178B real-time operating system has been selected by Northrop Grumman Corporation's Navigation Systems Division for use in an inertial navigation system that Northrop is developing for Airbus single-aisle, long-range and A380 aircraft
BAE SYSTEMS Selected As UK Aircraft Carrier Contractor LONDON, January 31, 2003. The UK Ministry of Defence has chosen BAE SYSTEMS as the Prime Contractor for the design, development, construction, systems integration and support of the UK Royal Navy's two new aircraft carriers, as announced by the Secretary of State for Defence, Geoff Hoon.
Harris Wins $12M Contract for USAF Telemetry Modules MELBOURNE, Fla., January 30, 2003. Harris Corporation has been awarded a one-year, $12 million production contract for telemetry modules supporting the U.S. Air Force Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM). This is a follow-on to the original contract awarded to Harris in 1991, bringing the overall value of the WRTTM program for Harris to $125 million.
UDC Wins SBIR Contract for OLED Helmet Displays EWING, N.J., February 3, 2003. Universal Display Corporation has been awarded a two-year, $729,996 Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase II Program contract by the U.S. to develop conformable and transparent display technologies. UDC is a pioneer in the development of organic light emitting device (OLED) technology for use in FPD applications, lighting and other opto-electronic applications.
