GD Awarded $6.9M Contract For SSGN System Trainers
ARLINGTON, Va., November 13, 2003. The U.S. Navy has awarded General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems a $6.9 million contract to provide attack weapon control system trainers in fiscal year 2004. Work will be performed in Pittsfield, Mass., and is expected to be completed by May 2005. Under this contract, General Dynamics will produce, deliver and install the attack weapon control system at the Trident Training Facilities at Kings Bay, Georgia, and Bangor, Washington

Green Hills to Present at SDR Technical Conference

Integral Systems Wins NASA DASS Antenna Contract
LANHAM, Md., November 11, 2003. NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center has awarded the DASS (Distress Alerting Satellite System) Antenna System contract to Integral System's Antenna Systems Division. The competitively won award includes delivery of four 4.27m full motion tracking antennas for receiving rescue beacon signals that are relayed through GPS and low earth orbiting weather satellites.

DRS Receives $9.3M For E-O Kits for IR Sights
PARSIPPANY, N.J. November 10, 2003. DRS Technologies has been awarded a $9.3M contract, including options, to produce, qualify and test upgrade kits for night vision targeting sights on the Tube-launched, Optically-tracked, Wire-guided (TOW) Weapons System. The AN/TAS-4(X) TOW Sight to be produced is a low-cost solution that will upgrade first generation infrared weapon sights already in use, providing enhanced performance, increased reliability and extended service life

L-3 Delivers E-2C Flat Panel Displays
ALPHARETTA, GA, November 5, 2003 -- L-3 Communications Display Systems (L-3 Display Systems), a division of L-3 Communications, has delivered the initial 17" color flat panel AMLCD-based displays for the E-2C Group II Enhanced Main Display Unit (EMDU) Upgrade Program, replacing the Cathode Ray Tube displays used on earlier versions of the EMDU.

Cubic Forms Simulation Systems Division

Convera Selected for Border Technology Program
VIENNA, Va., November 3, 2003. Convera announced that RetrievalWare has been selected as the search technology for the Customs and Border Protection Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) handbook. The new contract for Convera is worth approximately $2 million. Within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) developed for Customs and Border Protection will be used to increase information sharing among the 22 Department of Homeland Security agencies

Fiat Research to Test Boeing Technology For Autos
ST. LOUIS, October 31, 2003. Boeing and Centro Ricerche Fiat (CRF) have agreed to evaluate Boeing's patented IntelliBus Network Systems technology for possible automotive applications. The IntelliBus technology, originally developed by Boeing for advanced military aircraft, has potential for greatly reducing electronic wiring, connectors and control units within automobiles, while simultaneously increasing functionality, reliability and performance.
