Lockheed Forms Maritime Systems & Sensors Business MOORESTOWN, N.J., August 4, 2003. In a move to enhance customer satisfaction and strengthen its competitive advantage in design and integration of combat systems and sensors for maritime and related markets, Lockheed Martin is further integrating its naval electronics and surveillance systems units into a single business enterprise called Maritime Systems & Sensors (MS2).

General Dynamics to Purchase Digital System Resources FALLS CHURCH, VA., July 31, 2003. General Dynamics has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire privately-owned Digital System Resources, Inc. (DSR) of Fairfax, Va. The agreement has been approved by the boards of directors of both companies. The proposed transaction is subject to normal regulatory approvals and is expected to close within 60 days; terms were not disclosed.
Unisys Selects Identix for 3-D Facial Recognition MINNETONKA, Minn., July 30, 2003. Identix has been selected by Unisys to participate in a DoD R&D support task order, for which Unisys is the prime contractor. The value of the award to Identix exceeds of $1.2 million. Approximately $350,000 of this amount was recognized by Identix as revenue in its fiscal 2003 year, which ended June 30, 2003.
IDT Reports Record Revenues for Second Quarter 2003 HUNTSVILLE, Ala., July 29, 2003. Integrated Defense Technologies(IDT) reported operating results for its second quarter ended June 27, 2003. For the second quarter of 2003, revenue increased 30% to $93.4 million, operating earnings increased 25% to $9.9 million. Net income for the quarter was $4.5 million, or $0.21 per share, compared to $0.21 per share in the comparable prior year period,
Boeing Awarded High Energy Laser Testbed Contract ST. LOUIS, July 28, 2003. Boeing has been awarded a contract by the Air Force Research Laboratory, Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M., for a mobile testbed to enable development of beam control and fire control solutions for tactical high energy laser weapon systems.
Raytheon Acquires Honeywell Aerospace Unit in Australia LEXINGTON, Mass., July 25, 2003. Raytheon has acquired the Honeywell Aerospace and Defence Services (HADS) business unit of Honeywell in Australia. With U.S. $20 million in revenue, HADS is a provider to the Australian Defence Forces of aviation life-cycle support operations in the form of avionics maintenance, logistics and depot operations for fixed wing platforms
