ViaSat to build JTRS-compliant MIDS terminal
CARLSBAD, Calif., 29 December 2004. ViaSat Inc. has been awarded an Engineering Change Proposal modification and corresponding delivery order anticipated to be valued at approximately $60 million for development of a Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) compliant version of the Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS) terminal.

Pentagon cutting new arms to save $60 billion

The Pentagon plans to retire one of the navy's 12 aircraft carriers, buy fewer amphibious landing ships for the Marine Corps and delay the development of a costly army combat system as part of $60 billion in proposed cuts over the next six years, according to defense and congressional officials.

Navy grants $166 million for amphibious transport ship

InterDigital to build wireless components for MUOS and JTRS
