IPC to acquire Orbacom Systems
NEW YORK, N.Y., Oct. 4, 2004. IPC Information Systems, LLC, announced today it has entered into a definitive purchase agreement to acquire Orbacom Systems, Inc. for up to $18 million in cash, including deferred consideration and earnout commitments.

Lockheed Martin builds radar for international air defense

Lockheed Martin's Maritime Systems & Sensors (MS2) unit has received contracts with a combined value of $625 million for radar development associated with the design and development phase of the Medium Extended Air Defense System (MEADS), an international air defense program.

Engineered Support to build communications system for Afghan border police

Engineered Support Systems, Inc. has been awarded an $8.3 million task order by the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command (CECOM), Security Assistance Management Directorate (SAMD) under its Rapid Response (R2) contract to provide the Afghan Border Police (BP) with a communications system to enable it to secure that country's borders.

General Dynamics receives $31 million in Stryker contracts

RESTON, Va., Sept. 30, 2004. Raytheon Company has been selected by the U.S. Air Force to upgrade AN/TPS-75 radars for Hill Air Force Base, Utah. The five-year indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity contract has a ceiling of $13 million, including the three-year base period and one two-year option.
