Raytheon wins $440 million Navy missile contract TUCSON, Ariz., Sept. 3, 2004. The U.S. Navy awarded a $440 million contract to Raytheon Company to develop and produce the new STANDARD Missile-6 Extended Range Active Missile. SM-6 is being developed to meet the Navy's requirement for an extended range anti-air warfare missile (ER-AAW).
Lockheed Martin bids for Navy's MUOS satellite network SUNNYVALE, Calif., September 1, 2004. A team led by Lockheed Martin announced today that it has offered the U.S. Navy a network-centric solution for the Mobile User Objective System (MUOS), a next-generation narrowband tactical satellite communications system designed to significantly improve ground communications for U.S. forces on the move.

Harris Corporation wins Navy radio systems contract ROCHESTER, N.Y., Aug. 31, 2004. Harris Corporation today announced that it has completed the first shipment of equipment for the Flight 1 T-AKE HF program. The company was awarded a $2.1 million contract from the U.S. Navy Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), Systems Center Charleston, in December of 2003. The contract is for shipboard high-frequency (HF) radio transceivers and R-2368B(V)1 receiver subsystems.
Anteon wins $74 million contract to train DHS customs and border agents FAIRFAX, Va., Aug. 31, 2004. Anteon International Corporation announced today that it has been awarded a nine-year subcontract by Chenega Technology Services Corporation to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The estimated value of the contract, if all options are exercised, is $74 million.
Raytheon to build F/A-18 Threat Protection Systems for Navy GOLETA, Calif., Aug. 31, 2004. Raytheon Company has been awarded a $43.3 million contract for production of its ALR-67(V)3 radar warning receiver system for the U.S. Navy.
ManTech wins Navy contract for submarine acoustical trials FAIRFAX, Va., Sept. 1, 2004. ManTech International Corporation announced today that it has been awarded a contract from the U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWC Carderock) to provide engineering and technical services for Submarine and Surface Ship Acoustical Trials.
GE explosives trace detectors were used for Olympic Security in Athens WILMINGTON, Mass., Aug. 30, 2004. GE Infrastructure Security, a leading manufacturer of explosives trace detection and identification equipment, today announced that 39 GE Itemiser explosives trace detection systems were deployed prior to the recently concluded 2004 Olympic Games in Athens via a contract with the Greek Ministry of Public Order.
Lockheed Martin tests Aegis for ballistic missile defense MOORESTOWN, N.J., Aug. 31, 2004. Lockheed Martin has completed land-based testing of the first deployable Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Long Range Surveillance and Tracking capability. Aegis BMD is part of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) being developed by the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), in cooperation with the U.S. Navy.
Australia buys 12 NH90 transport helicopters from EADS Amsterdam, August 31, 2004. The Australian Department of Defence has decided to acquire 12 NH90 transport helicopters from global aerospace and defence company EADS.
