Radix Marine to build two prototype manned vessels for Advanced Marine Concepts
SILVERDALE, Wash., Aug. 17, 2004. Radix Marine, Inc. today announced that it has signed a contract to build two prototype manned vessels with a marine technology company, Advanced Marine Concepts. The boats will be built in Radix Marine's new manufacturing facility, making them the first such orders to be produced by the facility.

Northrop Grumman announces $107.1 million award for LPD 23 advance procurement
NEW ORLEANS, La., Aug. 17, 2004. The U.S. Navy today awarded a $107.1 million advance procurement contract to Northrop Grumman Corporation that will provide funding for long-lead materials for the USS Anchorage (LPD 23), the seventh amphibious transport dock ship of the San Antonio class.

General Dynamics wins $750 million contract for biological point detection
CHARLOTTE, N.C., August 16, 2004. General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products has been awarded a $25 million contract by the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., for the production of Joint Biological Point Detection Systems (JBPDS).

Lockheed Martin wins $85 contract for Future Combat System sensors
ORLANDO, Fla., August 16, 2004. Lockheed Martin has been selected as the winner of two system design and demonstration programs to develop ground sensors for the U.S. Army's Future Combat Systems (FCS) program. The awards are worth approximately $85.2 million over 50 months. A third contract, for a medium-range electro-optical/infrared sensor, is in negotiations.

Raytheon wins $223 million contract for three FCS sensors
MCKINNEY, Texas, Aug. 16, 2004. Raytheon Company's Network Centric Systems (NCS) will develop three new ground sensors to equip U.S. Army Future Combat Systems (FCS) vehicles with advanced capabilities to protect troops and platforms, increase mission success and support network- enabled warfare.

Boeing predicts strong 20-year freighter demand

Northrop Grumman to provide Army's C4ISR technical support

Northrop Grumman Corporation has received a $71.2 million task order from the U.S. Army to provide acquisition and software support, which will help the Army with command, control, communications and computers, intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance program readiness.
