FAA adopts Lockheed Martin's oceanic air traffic control system for Oakland, Calif. ROCKVILLE, Maryland, May 11, 2004. Lockheed Martin has achieved a milestone for the new system to control air traffic over U.S. oceanic airspace, with the Federal Aviation Administration's site acceptance of the Advanced Technologies and Oceanic Procedures (ATOP) system in its Oakland, Calif., en route and oceanic center.

The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command has awarded General Dynamics Land Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics, a $121 million delivery order as part of a contract valued at $244 million to retrofit 65 M1A2 Abrams tanks to the M1A2 SEP (System Enhancement Program) configuration.
