CENTCOM picks Harris Corp. for sensor network ROCHESTER, N.Y., 14 Dec. 2005. Harris Corp. announced today that it has been awarded a contract to supply the U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) with activity sensors as part of the Persistent Surveillance Unattended Ground Sensor (UGS) Program.

General Dynamics to acquire Anteon for $2.2 billion FALLS CHURCH, Va., 14 Dec. 2005. General Dynamics and Anteon International Corp. have entered into a definitive agreement for General Dynamics to acquire Anteon for $55.50 in cash for each outstanding Anteon share. The cost of the transaction would be approximately $2.2 billion, including the assumption of Anteon's $100 million of net debt.
RFID spending will surpass $3 billion in 2010 STAMFORD, Conn., 13 Dec. 2005. The adoption of RFID continues to gather momentum, and hardware and software spending will accelerate in late 2006 and 2007 as true benefits are documented, according to the analyst firm Gartner, Inc.

MTC Technologies, Inc. announced that the Ogden Air Logistics Center, F-16 System Program Office, at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, awarded a follow-on FAST task order to update the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve Command F-16 aircraft Block 25/30/32 Color Multi-Function Display System (CMFDS).
Germany orders 100 armored vehicles from General Dynamics FALLS CHURCH, Va., 13 Dec. 2005. MOWAG GmbH, a part of General Dynamics European Land Combat Systems, has signed an agreement with the German company Rheinmetall Landsysteme, GmbH, Kassel (RLS) to provide 100 Duro IIIP state-of-the-art 6x6 multi-purpose wheeled armored vehicles to be used by the German Bundeswehr (armed forces).

Denmark picks General Dynamics to build armored patrol vehicle FALLS CHURCH, Va., 13 Dec. 2005. The Danish Army Material Command awarded MOWAG GmbH, a part of General Dynamics European Land Combat Systems, a $38 million contract for Eagle IV armored patrol vehicles.
Greek air force buys Lockheed Martin F-16 fighter jets FORT WORTH, Texas, 13 Dec. 2005. In a $2 billion deal, the governments of Greece and the United States have signed an agreement for the sale of 30 additional Lockheed Martin Advanced F-16 Block 52+ aircraft to Greece, with an option for an additional 10 aircraft.
