Raytheon to rebuild Firefinder radar systems
INDIANAPOLIS, 19 Aug. 2005. Engineers at the Raytheon Technical Services Co. LLC in Indianapolis are set to rebuild three AN/TPQ-37(V) and two AN/TPQ-36(V) Firefinder radar systems.
L-3 Communications to build weapon systems simulator for Air Force

L-3 Communications announced today that its SYColeman Corp. subsidiary has been selected as a principal contractor on the MNGG Advance Simulation Technology (MAST) program, a 10-year time and materials contract for weapon systems simulation support to the Air Force Research Laboratory Munitions Directorate (AFRL/MN) at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla.
General Dynamics Acquires Tadpole Computer, Inc.
FALLS CHURCH, Va., 18 August 2005. General Dynamics today acquired Tadpole Computer, Inc., a privately held company based in Cupertino, Calif., that provides Unix-based mobile, secure and battlefield-tested computing platforms for mission-critical military, government and commercial operations.
Lockheed Martin acquires Insys Group
BETHESDA, Md., 18 August 2005. Lockheed Martin U.K. Holdings Ltd. today announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire INSYS Group Limited, a U.K.-based diversified supplier of military communications systems, weapons systems and advanced analysis services.
Raytheon builds weather processing system for NOAA
SILVER SPRING, Md., 18 August 2005. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)'s National Weather Service has awarded a contract to Raytheon Technical Services Company LLC for the operations and maintenance, optional product improvements, and software maintenance and support of the Advanced Weather Interactive Processing System (AWIPS).
Engineered Support will build surveillance suite for Australian vehicle
ST. LOUIS, Mo., 18 August 2005. Engineered Support Systems, Inc. has received a $7 million contract from the Commonwealth of Australia to develop a Multi-Spectral Sensor Suite (MSSS) to be used with the Australian Light Armored Vehicle (ASLAV).

FALLS CHURCH, Va., 17 Aug. 2005. General Dynamics in Falls Church, Va., today acquired Tadpole Computer Inc., a rugged computer manufacturer in Cupertino, Calif. Tadpole will become part of General Dynamics C4 Systems in Scottsdale, Ariz.
NASA taps Space Power Electronics for optoelectronic space components
GREENBELT, Md., 17 Aug. 2005. Scientists from the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) needed optoelectronic components for a laser instrument to fly in 2008 on the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) -- the first spacecraft to be built as part of the Vision for Space Exploration.
