Air Force names Astralux for biodecontamination unit BOULDER, Colo., 29 July 2005. Astralux, Inc. today announced that it has been awarded a Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Phase II award from the U.S. Air Force. With this award, work will continue toward the project's objective to develop a portable UV/X-Ray Biodecontamination system suitable for biodecontamination of a variety of biological agents which could be used in bioterrorism attacks.
L-3 builds microwave tubes for AMRAAM missiles SAN CARLOS, Calif., 29 July 2005. L-3 Communications Electron Devices announced today that it has been awarded a contract from Raytheon Missile Systems Division, based in Tucson, Ariz., for the fourth release of a six-year requirements contract to supply all traveling wave tubes used in the AIM-120 Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM).
