Thales unveils R2U4S, R4U8S and R8U16S COTS 19-inch VME industrial enclosures
EDISON, N.J., 19 Oct., 2006. Thales, which provides VMEbus and CompactPCI single-board computer (SBC) products and systems, introduced the R2U4S, R4U8S and R8U16S, a set of COTS 19-inch rack-mount VME industrial chassis for industrial-grade hardware in hostile environments.
Vicor Introduces mid-power 24-volt maxi power modules
ANDOVER, Mass., 18 Oct. 2006. Vicor Corp. in Andover, Mass., added eight mid-power Maxi DC-DC converters to the company's 24 volts DC input family: a 3.3 Vout, 200 W model and 300-Watt models at 5, 12, 15, 24, 28, 36, and 48 Vout.

National Instruments releases LabVIEW drivers for wireless sensor networks

National Instruments in Austin, Texas, announced LabVIEW drivers for wireless sensor networks, giving engineers and scientists working with these devices the ability to fully integrate their ZigBee, IEEE 802.15.4 or proprietary wireless sensors into the National Instruments LabVIEW graphical development environment.

AeroAstro acquires SRC
ASHBURN, Va., 15 August 2006. AeroAstro Inc., a microsatellite technology and communications pioneer, has acquired the majority of the assets of Signal Research Corporation (SRC), a Colorado-based provider of intelligence and space solutions. The acquisition extends AeroAstro's capabilities into space-based payloads, radios, communications, signal detection, and space systems.
Molex completes acquisition of Woodhead Industries
LISLE, Ill., 11 August 2006. Molex Incorporated has completed the final step in the previously reported acquisition of Woodhead Industries Inc. through the merger of a wholly-owned subsidiary of Molex with Woodhead. As a result of the merger, Woodhead is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Molex. The merger followed the recently-completed tender offer by Molex.
