Raytheon's Integrated Defense Systems business to conduct third Joint Fires demonstration
TEWKSBURY, Mass., 28 Nov. 2006. Raytheon Company, led by its Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) business, will conduct its third demonstration of a multi-theater, multi-service Single Integrated Air Picture (SIAP) capability in December as it expands its Joint Fires (JFires) program.

General Dynamics contracts Fortress Technologies to provide
TAMPA, Fla., 27 Nov. 2006. Fortress Technologies, a provider of secure wireless networking, has been awarded a contract by General Dynamics NASSCO, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics, to implement secure wireless communications on the next-generation replenishment ships under the U.S. Navy's Dry Cargo/Ammunition Ship (T-AKE) program.

DARPA awards Cray $250 million contract to develop supercomputer
SEATTLE, 27 Nov. 2006. Global supercomputer maker Cray Inc. has been awarded a $250 million agreement from the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to develop a supercomputer based on the company's Adaptive Supercomputing vision, a phased approach to hybrid computing that integrates a range of processing technologies into a single scalable platform.

VadaTech introduces industry first optically isolated digital input MC module
HENDERSON, Nev., 27 Nov. 2006. VadaTech Inc., a designer and manufacture of AdvancedMC modules, has released the industry's first optically isolated digital input AdvancedMC module. Designed to solve the I/O problems of military, industrial, and telecom applications, the AMC090 is a 16-channel high-voltage optically isolated digital input AMC module available in a number of different voltage ranges from TTL to +10Vdc.

Lockheed Martin to provide components for towed-array submarine sonar system

Optek Technology unveils fiber-optic LED transmitters for data communications
MUNICH, Germany, 23 Nov. 2006. Optek Technology has developed a series of fiber-optic LED transmitters for integration into data communications equipment. Designated the OPF670 Series, the LED transmitter family consists of the OPF670 in a TO-46 package, the OPF672 in a standard-profile metal housing, and the OPF673 in a low-profile metal housing.
