L-3 Communications ships next-generation Rover III data links
NEW YORK CITY, 15 Nov. 2006. L-3 Communications has begun the first customer shipments of its next-generation Rover III data links, adding the ability to decode multiple subcarriers from L and C Band analog and C Band digital signals.

When coupled with IDT's pre-processing switch (PPS), this wireless chipset solution provides an optimized interconnection that accelerates DSP performance by up to 20 percent.
SPAWAR uses Calient Networks' DiamondWave to upgrade internal fiber network
SAN JOSE, Calif., 14 Nov. 2006. SPAWAR, the U.S. Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command in Point Loma, San Diego, Calif., has issued its second order for DiamondWave from Calient Networks, a supplier of carrier-class fiber optic cross-connect systems (FOCS). SPAWAR personnel will use DiamondWave as it continues to upgrade internal fiber network performance and cost-effectiveness at the base.
