AGI unveils STK 8 software for national security and space analysis
EXTON, Penn., 13 Nov. 2006. Analytical Graphics Inc. (AGI) has released STK 8, the latest version of its software for the analysis of land, sea, air, and space assets. STK 8 also provides expanded enterprise data sharing; enhanced features for globe building, terrain, and imagery analysis; and additional aircraft and UAV mission modeling and 3D visualization capabilities.

BAE Systems to upgrade U.S. Navy SH-60 Seahawk helicopters with R-AHRS
LOS ANGELES, 10 Nov. 2006. BAE Systems has begun delivering replacement attitude and heading reference systems (R-AHRS) to improve the reliability and performance of U.S. Navy SH-60 Seahawk helicopters. The Navy has concluded flight tests of the new system, and BAE Systems is executing a rapid delivery schedule to equip about 240 helicopters by mid-2007.

U.S. Marine Corps places first order with the O'Gara Group for night vision goggles
CINCINNATI, 10 Nov. 2006. The O'Gara Group Inc.'s Sensor Technology Systems (STS) subsidiary has received a $6.4 million purchase order from the U.S. Marine Corps for a significant number of STS's advanced AN/PVS-21 low-profile night vision goggles. The night vision goggles have been sold to Special Operations and other government agency customers, this order from the U.S. Marines is the company's first from one of the regular military service groups of the U.S. Department of Defense.

French Army Department of Defense orders $1 million in Emrise Corp. communications network access solutions
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif., 10 Nov. 2006. The French subsidiary, CXR Anderson Jacobson (CXR-AJ) of Emrise Corporation, a multi-national manufacturer of defense and aerospace electronic components and communications equipment, has received orders from three major systems integrators for communications network access products for the French military.

ManTech announces successful incubation, spin-out of NetWitness information security product group
FAIRFAX, Va., 9 Nov. 2006. ManTech International Corporation -- provider of technologies and solutions focused on mission-critical national security programs for the Intelligence Community and the Departments of Defense, State, Homeland Security, and Justice; the Space Community; and other federal government customers -- has completed a successful incubation and spin-out of its NetWitness information security product group.

Magma Design Automation enters FPGA synthesis market, supports Altera Stratix III line
SANTA CLARA, Calif., 9 Nov. 2006. Magma Design Automation Inc., a provider of semiconductor design software, has announced that Blast FPGA, Magma's industry-leading synthesis tool for programmable logic, has entered the FPGA synthesis market and is providing support for Altera Corporation's new 65-nanometer Stratix III FPGA family. Early access software is available now from Magma.

Raytheon chooses Themis servers for future DDG 1000 land-attack destroyer
TEWKSBURY, Mass., 9 Nov. 2006. Systems designers at Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems in Tewksbury, Mass., needed rugged server computers for the future U.S. Navy DDG 1000 Zumwalt-class destroyer. They found their solution from Themis Computer in Fremont, Calif.

Altera announces Stratix III family of field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs)
SAN JOSE, Calif., 9 Nov. 2006. Altera Corporation has introduced its Stratix III FPGA family, delivering low power consumption in a high-density, high-performance programmable logic device. Stratix III FPGAs feature hardware architecture advancements and Quartus II software enhancements, translating to 50 percent lower power, 25 percent higher performance, and 2 times the density compared to previous generation Stratix II devices.

SRC and Objectivity form partnership to further radar modeling systems used by U.S. Army, Air Force, Marines
