Electronic Sensor Technology receives orders from the People's Republic of China NEWBURY PARK, Calif., 5 October 2006. Electronic Sensor Technology (EST), a provider of homeland security and environmental solutions, has received orders for three additional instruments from EST's distributor in China, Beijing R&D Technology Co. Ltd. These orders are part of China's recently announced pollution clean-up efforts estimated to cost about $136 billion.
Communication-Electronics Command (CECOM) Awards iBASEt $66M Task Order FOOTHILL RANCH, Calif., 4 October 2006. Communication-Electronics Command (CECOM) has awarded a $66 million task order to iBASEt as a member of the SRA International/Galaxy Scientific Corporation Team. Tasking is to provide services and support for NetCentric Data Environment (NDE) for business transformation under the Rapid Response (CR2) contract and has four option periods through 2011.
iRobot to deliver $6.9 million in PackBot robots to U.S. military BURLINGTON, Mass., 4 October 2006. iRobot Corp. has received $6.9 million in new orders from the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) as well as the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) in Orlando, Fla. on behalf of the Robotic Systems Joint Project Office to deliver iRobot PackBot robots, spare parts, and services to both commands by the end of the first quarter 2007.
LaBarge receives $15 million in orders for wiring harnesses to be employed in the Eclipse 500's electronic systems ST. LOUIS, 4 October 2006. LaBarge Inc. has received $15 million in follow-on orders from Eclipse Aviation Corporation to continue providing wiring harnesses for the Eclipse 500 very light jet (VLJ). In April 2006, LaBarge announced it had received initial orders of approximately $10 million under a multiyear agreement with Eclipse.
Millennium Cell to receive funding in 2007 Defense Appropriations Bill for the U.S. Air Force soldier power program Eatontown, N.J., 3 October 2006. A developer of hydrogen battery technology, Millennium Cell Inc.'s soldier power program has been allocated $2.5 million of funding in the fiscal year 2007 Defense Appropriations Bill. The bill was signed into law by President Bush on Friday morning.
Ducommun Inc. acquires CMP Display Systems Inc., maker of lit panels and assemblies for the aerospace and defense industries LOS ANGELES, 3 October 2006. Ducommun Incorporated's Ducommun Technologies Inc. (DTI) subsidiary has acquired CMP Display Systems Inc. (CMP), a privately held company based in Newbury Park, Calif. CMP is a manufacturer of incandescent, electroluminescent, and LED edge lit panels and assemblies for the aerospace and defense industries. CMP's sales for the last fiscal year ending February 28, 2006 were approximately $8.6 million.
LaBarge awarded $8 million in contracts from Raytheon Missile Systems for tactical tomahawk missile systems ST. LOUIS, 3 October 2006. Raytheon Missile Systems has issued $8 million in contracts to LaBarge Inc. to provide complex cable assemblies and an integrated firing unit assembly for the Tactical Tomahawk cruise missile.
iMove debuts first portable fly-away wide-area surveillance system for DOD force protection PORTLAND, Ore., 2 October 2006. iMove Inc., a developer of immersive video security solutions for wide-area persistent surveillance, has developed the inView fly-away surveillance system. The transportable wide-area surveillance system provides the benefits of fixed perimeter surveillance capabilities in a rugged, transportable system designed for rapid deployment and setup in remote or temporary locations.
U.S. Government agency orders mobile x-ray systems from Rapiscan Systems for cargo and vehicle inspection HAWTHORNE, Calif., 2 October 2006. OSI Systems Inc., a provider of specialized electronic products for critical applications in the Security and Healthcare industries, announced that its Security and Inspection division, Rapiscan Systems received from a U.S. Government agency a $4.6 million contract for multiple cargo and vehicle inspection systems as well as mobile x-ray systems.
BAE Systems unveils Future Combat Systems NLOS cannon firing platform MINNEAPOLIS, 2 October 2006. BAE Systems has unveiled the Future Combat Systems (FCS) Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS) cannon firing platform. The NLOS Cannon is the lead manned ground vehicle (MGV) of the Boeing/Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC)-led FCS Program.
