BBN Technologies demonstrates disruption-tolerant critical data communications network CAMBRIDGE, Mass., 29 September 2006. BBN Technologies has been awarded $8.7 million in funding from the Department of Defense's Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) under the second phase of its Disruption Tolerant Networking (DTN) program.
Smiths Aerospace to supply large cockpit display system for Lockheed Martin Presidential helicopter GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., 29 September 2006. Smiths Aerospace has been awarded a contract to supply the new large-area cockpit display system for the Lockheed Martin VH-71 Presidential helicopter. In fact, the VH-71 will be the first helicopter to sport a large, five-screen display system for enhanced situational awareness and flexibility in the display of data.

Rockwell Collins Inc., maker of aviation electronics and communications solutions, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Anzus Inc. Anzus is a privately owned developer of software that enables high-speed tactical data link processing and sensor correlation for the U.S. Department of Defense as well as foreign governments.
