TT Electronics debuts line of pulse-withstanding chip resistors
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas, 6 September 2006. TT electronics IRC Advanced Film Division has released its PWC Series of pulse-withstanding chip resistors that combine extended surge values with high voltage ratings. Designed for power supplies and circuit protection devices, the product is available in 0805, 1206, 2010, and 2512 chip sizes. The PWC Series resistors also are suitable for portable battery chargers, motor controls, and line-powered equipment.

BAE Systems to develop net-centric targeting system
Nashua, N.H., 5 September 2006. The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency's (NGA) InnoVision Directorate has selected BAE Systems to develop a Web-based surveillance and targeting system. The system will rapidly identify battlefield targets and other possible threats and greatly speed decision-making by intelligence analysts and military personnel. NGA awarded BAE Systems a $47 million contract, including options, to deliver the Global Net-Centric Surveillance and Targeting system.

Mercury Computer Systems announces the PowerStream 6600 conduction-cooled COTS computer system
CHELMSFORD, Mass., 5 September 2006. Mercury Computer Systems Inc. has introduced its PowerStream 6600 multi-computer, with 716 PowerPC GFLOPS of compute performance in a conduction-cooled enclosure.

TACOM awards $10 million contract to DRS for maintenance information system
PARSIPPANY, N.J., 5 September 2006. DRS Technologies Inc. has been awarded a $10 million contract to develop and integrate a condition-based maintenance information system for the U.S. Army's ground combat vehicle fleet. The contract's objectives are to develop a capability to monitor, record, and communicate operating parameters to an enterprise logistics network.
