AeroVironment to develop Global Observer Stratospheric unmanned aircraft system MONROVIA, Calif. -- AeroVironment Inc. (AV) won a contract from the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) for the development and military utility assessment of its Global Observer unmanned aircraft system (UAS).
