Unisys to continue operating RFID networks for U.S. Department of Defense
BLUE BELL, Pa., 14 June 2007. The U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) awarded Unisys Corp. a follow-on contract to enhance visibility in the worldwide military logistics supply chain. The contract term is one base year and three one-year options, exercisable at the discretion of the government. The total value of the contract could be approximately $112 million if the government exercises all options and continues to order time and materials work at the current level.
Fidelity to supply surface wire grounding kits to U.S. Army
READING, Pa., 14 June 2007. Fidelity Technologies Corp. (Fidelity) of Reading, Pa., won a $310,000 military contract to build 3,000 surface wire grounding kits for the U.S. Army's Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) at Fort Monmouth, Eatontown, N.J.
Omega Sensors Inc. to advance MEMS accelerometer technology with CCAT funding
SAN DIEGO, Calif., 13 June 2007. The Center for Commercialization of Advanced Technology (CCAT) in San Diego, Calif., has awarded Omega Sensors Inc. a $49,000 product development award. The company will use the funds for continued development of micro-electro-mechanical Systems (MEMS) accelerometer technology.

CARLSBAD, Calif., 12 June 2007. ViaSat Inc. won a $3.7 million award from the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) to develop and implement an enhanced military UHF satellite communications waveform, called the integrated waveform (IW).

LaBarge wins $2.4 million contract from BAE Systems for Bradley fighting vehicle program
ST. LOUIS, 11 June 2007. LaBarge Inc. won a $2.4 million dollar contract from BAE Systems to continue to produce the ethernet switch unit (ESU) for its A3 Bradley combat systems vehicles. The ESU functions as a router and a switch, making local forwarding decisions to devices operated in the vehicle's local area network (LAN). LaBarge has manufactured the ESU since 2001.
DARPA seeks technologies for network-enabled, strategic collaboration for disaster recovery and relief operations
HARRISON, Maine, 11 June 2007. Strategy X Inc., a team of global performance-based risk mitigation specialists, reports that the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) is seeking innovative ideas and concepts that can advance the area of strategic collaboration, according to a request for information issued by DARPA.
