NASA selects Objective Interface Systems for software communications architecture research program
LONDON, 11 June 2007. Objective Interface Systems Inc., provider of communications middleware for software defined radios (SDRs), announced that the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Glenn Research Center has selected its high-performance real-time communications middleware, ORBexpress RT, to research the viability and optimization options for a lightweight software communication architecture as a potential software architecture solution for NASA's next-generation SDRs.

Siemens Enterprise Communications-ESRI wins contract for NATO's Core Geographic Services project

Aura Systems to demo Viper mobile power system in Army's Expedited Modernization Initiative Process
EL SEGUNDO, Calif., 9 June 2007. Aura Systems Inc. will participate in the Army's Expedited Modernization Initiative Procedure (EMIP) process to be held in Warren, Mich., July 23 through 26. Aura will be demonstrating its Viper mobile power system integrated into a military vehicle. The Viper is the military designation for Aura's AuraGen mobile power system.

ITT to support U.S. Navy research in high-power microwaves

GENEVA, 7 June 2007. The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) in Geneva, Switzerland, has published the first global blown fiber standard, IEC 60794-5. The document includes, definitions of blown fiber products and a test menu for systems integrators.
