Small unmanned aerial vehicle achieves record flight time with Protonex fuel cell system
SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass., 2 Dec. 2007. Protonex Technology Corp., a provider of advanced fuel cell power systems for portable, remote, and mobile applications, announced that the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and development partner AeroVironment have documented a record flight on a small, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) powered by an advanced fuel cell system from Protonex.

FlightSafety selects UEI's RACKtangle I/O hardware for its flight simulators
WALPOLE, Mass., 1 Dec. 2007. United Electronic Industries (UEI) has been selected by FlightSafety International to supply the computer-based I/O (SimI/O) hardware used in future flight simulators. The UEI system provides the interface between the controlling computers and the simulator's various systems, including Avionics Instrument Control (AIC), Control Loading and Motion (CLM), and Flight Deck I/O (FDK).

Probe logs first order from HPV Technologies for U.S. Army
LAKE FOREST, Calif., 30 Nov. 2007. Probe Manufacturing Inc., an electronics manufacturing company, has received the first order to manufacture back panel assemblies for Acoustic Hailing Devices from HPV Technologies of Costa Mesa. The Acoustic Hailing Devices will be used by the U.S. Army.

Danish Navy upgrades warship navigation with OSI Geospatial ECPINS software
OTTAWA, Ontario, 30 Nov. 2007. OSI Geospatial Inc.'s International Systems Operations has secured a contract valued at approximately $750,000 with the Danish Navy. Under the terms of the new contract, OSI will provide an upgrade to its ECPINS warship navigation software. This will move the Danish Navy systems to the latest version of OSI's software.
