General Dynamics to acquire jet aviation for $2.25 billion
FALLS CHURCH, Va. 25 Aug. 2008. Officials at General Dynamics and Dreamliner Lux S.a.r.l., a company controlled by the Permira Funds, have entered into a definitive agreement for General Dynamics to acquire business-jet developer Jet Aviation in Zurich, Switzerland, for approximately $2.25 billion in cash.

Curtiss-Wright announces intention to launch offer to acquire Vmetro
ROSELAND, N.J., 25 Aug. 2008. Curtiss-Wright Corp. officials announced that they have submitted a letter to embedded-computing supplier Vmetro ASA in Houston, Texas, stating Curtiss-Wright's intention to launch a voluntary offer to acquire 100 percent of the outstanding stock of Vmetro ASA at a price per share of NOK 12.06 in cash.

ON Semiconductor to acquire Catalyst Semiconductor Inc.
PHOENIX, 23 Aug. 2008. ON Semiconductor Corp. and Catalyst Semiconductor Inc. signed a definitive merger agreement providing for the acquisition of Catalyst Semiconductor by ON Semiconductor in an all-stock transaction. This deal represents an equity value of approximately $115 million and an enterprise value of approximately $85 million.
