External power supply market to climb to $10 billion in next five years

Curtiss-Wright to supply embedded computers for Army Future Combat Systems
ROSELAND, N.J., 14 May 2008. Curtiss-Wright Corp. won an $8 million contract from General Dynamics C4 Systems in Phoenix and Rockwell Collins Inc. in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to provide the company's General Processor Modules (GPM) for the Integrated Computer System (ICS) portion of the U.S. Army's Future Combat Systems (FCS) program.

Northrop Grumman to develop 360-degree warning system to detect ground-based threats
LINTHICUM, Md., 6 May 2008. U.S. Army leaders are asking Northrop Grumman Corp. in Linthicum, Md., to continue developing the Passive Infrared Cueing System (PICS), a ground threat warning system that can locate, cue, and classify potential threats from tank fire, rocket-propelled grenades, and anti-tank guided missiles.

Sabtech provides NTDS networking equipment for German navy

L-3 completes acquisition of electro-optical systems business
NEW YORK, 28 April 2008. L-3 Communications has finalized the acquisition of Northrop Grumman's Electro-Optical Systems (EOS) business for $175 million in cash. The acquired business, renamed L-3 EOS, is a provider of night-vision technology and electro-optical products for military, commercial, and public safety customers, and is expected to be accretive to L-3's earnings in 2008. The transaction closed on April 21, 2008.
