ADLINK Technology set to acquire Ampro Computers
TAIPEI, Taiwan, 24 March 2008. Leaders of ADLINK Technology Inc. in Taipei, Taiwan are set to acquire Ampro Computers Inc. in San Jose, Calif., to merge Ampro's expertise in board-level embedded computers with ADLINK's manufacturing capabilities for industrial control and communications applications.
ATK chooses hardened GPS receivers from IEC for artillery munitions guidance
EDINA, Minn., 19 March 2008. Engineers at Alliant TechSystems Inc. (ATK) in Edina, Minn., needed global positioning system (GPS) receivers for the Precision Guidance Kit (PGK) program that ATK supervises for the U.S. Army. They found their solution from L-3 Interstate Electronics Corp. (IEC) in Anaheim, Calif.
Space Micro to build MEMS-based space weather instrument to aid satellite health monitoring

Semiconductor sales were down in January, says the SIA
SAN JOSE, Calif., 3 March 2008. Global sales of semiconductors took their seasonal dip in January, down 3.6 percent from December to $22.28 million, but roughly flat with a year ago, according to the latest data from the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) in San Jose, Calif.
