Javelin joint venture wins $111.6 million U.S. Army contract
TUCSON, Ariz., 5 Sept. 2008. The Raytheon Company-Lockheed Martin Javelin Joint Venture won a $111.6 million U.S. Army Global War on Terror supplemental contract to produce additional Javelin missiles and command launch units.

Raytheon delivers sonar, combat control systems to U.S. Navy
TEWKSBURY, Mass., 5 Sept. 2008. Raytheon Company was recognized in the presentation of the U.S. Navy's 2008 Team Submarine Excellence Award to the Navy's Submarine Acoustic Systems Program Office (PMS 401) and Submarine Combat System Program Office (PMS 425). As a member of the team, Raytheon was cited for the development and successful delivery of the ARCI and AN/BYG-1 TI-06 submarine sonar and combat control systems.

General Dynamics wins $32 million U.S. Army Corps of Engineers contract for IT management in Afghanistan
FAIRFAX, Va., 4 Sept. 2008. General Dynamics Information Technology, a business unit of General Dynamics, won a contract from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Afghanistan Engineer District (AED) to provide information technology management services in Afghanistan to support USACE-AED reconstruction and infrastructure development programs. The contract has a total potential value of $32 million over five years if all options are exercised.

American Science and Engineering wins $22.2 million U.S. order for 22 Z Backscatter Vans
BILLERICA, Mass., 4 Sept. 2008. American Science and Engineering Inc. (AS&E), a leader in x-ray detection technology, has received a $22.2 million order from the U.S. government for 22 Z Backscatter Vans (ZBV)--the industry's top-selling mobile x-ray screening system. The contract includes ZBV operator training, spare parts, service, and warranty.

CACI to deliver IT upgrades to Naval Sea Systems Command
ARLINGTON, Va., 3 Sept. 2008. CACI International Inc. won a prime $150 million task order by the U.S. Navy's Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) to modernize maintenance applications used at shipyards and maintenance centers through information technology (IT) upgrades and software development.

General Dynamics wins $41 million contract for U.S. Marine Corps Combat Operations Centers
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., 3 Sept. 2008. General Dynamics C4 Systems won a $41 million contract modification from the U.S. Marine Corps System Command for the production of nine capability set II Combat Operations Centers and 18 common modules. The capability sets and modules combine to become nine operations centers used by Marine Corps commanders. Deliveries will be completed by March 2010.

iRobot wins $200 million U.S. Army contract for robotic systems
BEDFORD, Mass., 2 Sept. 2008. iRobot Corp. has been awarded a $200 million ceiling priced indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract from the U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation (PEO STRI), on behalf of the Robotic Systems Joint Project Office in Warren, Mich. Under the terms of the contract, the Army could order up to the full $200 million value in military robots, spare parts, training, and repair services over five years.

SprayCool electronics enclosure completes flight testing aboard UH-60 Black Hawk radar system
LIBERTY LAKE, Wa., 2 Sept. 2008. One of SprayCool's electronics enclosures completed its flight test program in brown-out conditions as part of Sierra Nevada Corporation's Helicopter Autonomous Landing System (HALS). The SprayCool liquid-cooled enclosure, mounted on the front of the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter, is used as the closed-loop thermal-management system to isolate critical digital and RF electronics used in SNC's three-dimensional (3D) imaging radar.

IFS Applications support U.K. Defence JAMES Land Project
