TORONTO, Ontario, 25 May 2008. Bombardier Aerospace and FlightSafety International announced that FlightSafety will offer pilot training with its first CRJ900 NextGen aircraft flight simulator located in Canada. Bombardier's CRJ900 NextGen aircraft program was introduced in 2007.

Tactair Fluid Controls wins contract from General Dynamics Land Systems to support the M1-A1 Abrams Tank rehabilitation program
LIVERPOOL, N.Y., 24 May 2008. Tactair Fluid Controls Inc. wins $3.2 million contract from General Dynamics Land Systems to support the M1-A1 Abrams Tank rehabilitation program. The program encompasses hydraulic components from Tactair. Included in the components are 3 different types of hydraulic accumulators as well as a hydraulic motor power pack. The rehabilitation program is projected to last through 2012.

EWING, N.J., 23 May 2008. Engineers at Universal Display Corp., under contract to the U.S. Army have demonstrated flexible OLED – organic light emitting diode – display technology with infrared emission for nighttime use.

FLIR Systems wins $358.4 million IDIQ contract modification from U.S. Army
PORTLAND, Ore., 23 May 2008. FLIR Systems Inc. has been awarded a new contract modification adding $358.4 million to an existing indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract from the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command in Huntsville, Ala., for its Star SAFIRE III stabilized multisensor systems.

Input report: Government IT spending to decrease through 2009
