FLIR Systems wins $49.8 million contract from Naval Surface Warfare Center PORTLAND, Ore., 2 July 2008. FLIR Systems Inc. won a $49.8 million firm-fixed price indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract from the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Crane Division in Crane, Ind., for its Short Range - Ground Mobility Visual Augmentation Systems (SR-GMVAS).
K & F Electronics to supply U.S. F.A.A. with printed circuit boards FRASER, Mich., 1 July 2008. K & F Electronics, a manufacturer of printed circuit boards, won a three-year contract with the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration to supply its Aeronautical Center with four different types of circuit boards.

FLIR Systems gains $23.1 million order from U.S. Coast Guard PORTLAND, Ore., 28 June 2008. FLIR Systems Inc. won a $23.1 million delivery order from the U.S. Coast Guard for the Electro-Optical Sensor System (ESS) program. FLIR will deliver variants of its TALON stabilized multisensor system, which will be installed on HH-60 and HH-65 helicopters to enhance the Coast Guard's airborne force, interdiction, and search-and-rescue missions.
SpaceX test fires Falcon 1 rocket HAWTHORNE, Calif., 27 June 2008. Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (SpaceX) conducted a full launch rehearsal and hold-down firing of the Falcon 1 Flight 3 vehicle on Omelek Island, SpaceX's launch site at the Kwajalein Atoll. This test is the final step before launch of the Falcon 1 rocket.
FLIR Systems announces $6.7 million order from Colombian Ministry of Defense PORTLAND, Ore., 27 June 2008. FLIR Systems Inc. won a $6.7 million order from the Colombian Ministry of Defense for its Star SAFIRE HD stabilized, multisensor surveillance systems. The units delivered under this order will be installed on fixed-wing surveillance platforms for use in counter-narcotic and counter-terror missions within the Republic of Colombia.
TCS wins multimillion-dollar contract to provide private satellite network in Afghanistan ANNAPOLIS, Md., 26 June 2008. TeleCommunication Systems Inc., a provider of mission-critical wireless communications, won a three-year, $2.4 million contract to build and implement an IP-based private satellite network that will support U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) personnel in Afghanistan.
